Yap Badges!Instead of having a static character name space, I have made a nice big space so the badge is pretty much a whiteboard - you can write whatever you want and change the message as often as you'd like.  You can be informative: 'My name is Kittrel!' or 'Ask me about commissions'. Silly: 'Do you like waffles?' or 'Let me enjoy my sammich.' or EVIL: 'You just lost the game!!!' (sorry) Write down whatever you're thinking, then erase it and change it as you please. When you go home at the end of the con it's still very handy for leaving personalized messages on your door or the fridge. The badges are each done on 4.5 x 6 inch bristol board paper before they're cut to shape, so they're 'about that size'. They are laminated and come with a neck cord and a dry erase marker. The cost is $25. There may be extra shipping charges - I have not tried to ship markers before! About those markers... I am currently in the Marker Testing Phase. I am using Bic 'Great Erase Grip' whiteboard markers. The colored ones are least likely to rub off on clothes, but the black stays better if given a little more drying time. They should not stain clothes if they do rub off, but I'd still use caution with wearing a badge with your favorite white shirt. Use a damp paper towel to clean off the marker, or a tiny bit of windex on a paper towel (it is a bad idea to douse badges with water or cleaning soluntion even if they are properly laminated!) To avoid problems with marker staining your badge, don't leave a message on there for more than a day or two and keep the badge erased when you are not using it. I will be storing backups on disk so if people need a reprint because they forgot to clean it off and after leaving the marker there for 6 months it won't come off, or worse grabbed a sharpie instead of the whiteboard marker (I've done it!), I can replace them easily (for a minimal charge).
